In the Community

At Credential, we consider the impact of our actions on each other, our partners, and our communities.

Through innovative corporate giving programs and a vibrant culture of community involvement and volunteerism, we’re committed to empowering positive growth in the places we live and work.

Corporate Giving

Investing in youth for a better tomorrow

Our vision of sustainable financial strength for all Canadians begins with doing what we can to give the next generation a fair start in life. While we support a variety of non-profit organizations, our corporate giving programs focus primarily on organizations that provide resources and educational programs to children and youth at risk.

Some organizations we’ve supported through corporate giving include the Cause We Care, CKNW Orphans’ Fund, The KidSafe Project Society, Kids Up Front, UNICEF Canada, and YWCA Metro Vancouver.

Credential is recognized as a Caring Company by Imagine Canada for demonstrating leadership in community investment in Canada and signing the Corporate Citizenship Commitment.

Organizations We Support

United Way

Over the past 3 years, we’ve raised more than $130,000 through employee and corporate support. Our workplace campaign was recognized at the United Way Gold Level in 2011 and 2012.

Directions Youth Services Centre

Our employees have donated over 4.000 lbs of warm clothes and personal items to street entrenched youth since our annual in-kind donation drive began in 2010. That’s the equivalent of 80 airline check-in bags!

Camp Moomba

Camp Moomba provide a chance for kids to just be kids with their summer camp for children living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. A corporate donation sent 9 children to camp in 2015.

Community Involvement

Making a difference is important to us

Our employees care as much about our communities as we do.
So we offer a number of opportunities to support their community involvement and giving:

  • Volunteer Days – We offer employees a paid day each year, so they can donate their time to charities important to them.
  • Ignite Funds – We have a dedicated pool of funds available to match employee fundraising efforts, whether individually or as teams.
  • Service Milestones – Every employee celebrating a significant service milestone can direct a corporate donation to a non-profit organization of their choice.
